We are excited to release the new vtiger Extensions marketplace for free and commercial vtiger CRM addons. This new section of the vtiger.com site will help vtiger CRM users easily find and install new modules, plug-ins, language packs and all other vtiger CRM extensions.  Each listing allows comments and ratings so that the vtiger user community can exchange feedback and ideas for improvement.

On the, the extensions are categorized by

  • function  (ex: office/productivity, language pack, …)
  • vtiger CRM version (ex: 5.0.4)
  • and by popularity. (ex: Most viewed, Top rated,..)

Easy to install extensions with Module Manager

An important enabler for simpler installation of extensions is the new Module Manager functionality that is part of the vtlib package.  With Module Manager, installation of addons can be accomplished with a few simple clicks. Module Manager and vtlib will be a standard part of the 5.1 release, but will need to be downloaded and installed for 5.0.4.
Easy to develop extensions with vtlib

We highly recommend that vtiger CRM addons be built using vtlib,  to enable easy installation with Module Manager.  Many existing add-ons can also be converted using vtlib, to enable easy installation for vtiger CRM users. For more information on vtlib and to see the discussion on it, please see the vtlib 2.1 blog post and the vtlib discussion on the forums .

Please try out the new Extensions marketplace, and provide your feedback on the site and the individual extensions listed.  We request that all providers of vtiger CRM add-ons list their extensions in the marketplace.
