Right now, I am trying to make things converge. In the process of doing this, I am not only getting myself stressed but also sadly ensuring that the team too is so. This is one of the many sad results if one is not doing his homework well. Had I kept track of the bugtracker and the quality of bugs in it, I would have probably converged faster. Probably.

Feel bad at times that this is happening but at times, one has to put the foot down and get the task done. The community too has contributed in no small measure and we are integrating the patches as well.

Right now, I see close to 49 issues pending in the trac for the 5.0.3 release @

This is  good to see as things were pretty bad till a week ago.

Till we make vtiger more modular, we will have these issues of us doing most of the hardwork as the product is too technical to work with.

Funny how the goal changes with time. Initially, it was to have a ‘dumb’ product so that anyone can just install and play with it. Now that the earlier goal has been achieved, we are up against a different problem. Sometimes the way-of-progress really amazes me. Just goes to show, nothing is ever deemed sufficient.
