In cricket, the final overs are called the slog overs. They are called so as there is very little sense and pure muscle-power that is used to score runs off the opposition. vtiger too is in the final overs now and we are putting in as much effort as we can to ensure that 5.0.0 is stable with a very dignified and known list of issues.

There is going to be another round of validation starting tomorrow. We have updated the build too. It is going to be interesting to see if there are any breaks happening in the product. I do not expect many as the repository has been locked and there are very few areas of screw-ups. Still, I am excited within.

If all goes well, then we will have vtigercrm-5.0.0 released within 10 days max. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

This is also time for me to start thinking on post 5.0.0 activities. In fact, I have already posted in the mailinglists whether the next release should be 5.0.1 or 5.1. Let us see how the cat jumps.

Matt has done quite a lot of features to the webmail front. Also, he has been working hard on the Joomla component for vtiger. Do not ask me what, Matt knows it. Sometimes, I get envious of him as he gets lot more views than mine. Just kidding!

Good work Matt! Keep it up!

Michelle helped us a lot in the Dashboard for 5.0.0.

Jens with the PostGres patch.

Dino and Aissa with the installer and plugins feedback and features. Aissa has developed an installer and has been in touch with the Bitrock guys as well.

Aissa also has been working on the vtiger french community and he is seeing good uptake from them. Well done Aissa! I hope the french vtiger community takes off in a big way.

On the whole vtiger has become global. From a few nuts-driven project to a community-driven project. The transformation is on!
Well, the themes are awaited tonite from Radiant. He is keeping us guessing most of the times. These UI guys are half-crazy actually 😉 never understand that there is a deliverable that cannot wait for creativity :-)!

I am sure Radiant too is excited and nervous as he too wants to see the reaction of the community to his new themes.

Exciting times ahead…
