We have decided to proceed in phases for the future developments. The immediate concern is to address the bug fixes. The same is going to be done in at best 3 phases ie 5.0.1, 5.0.2 and 5.0.3.
This is to ensure that we do not take up more than we can chew and we maintain the quality of the product. This is an area where the core-team has to tread carefully becos often in the past, we have screwed it up from here grandly. Moreover, naming convention has been a Damocle’s sword that is always hanging on our head. Hence, we have to slow down and proceed with care.
I am looking at ways to further open up vtiger community. All ideas toward the same are welcome.
