LIME – Less Is MorE

The “Less is More” aka “LIME” is the current mantra of majority online applications today. The success of iPod, Google Search, Basecamp to name a few are perfect examples of this strategy.

Analysts and loyalists were little skeptical about the future of Nintendo’s Wii gaming console. When giants like Microsoft’s XBOX 360 and Sony’s PS3 (powered by the most powerful gaming hardware) launched their consoles targeting hardcore gamers and performance excellence, Nintendo targeted the console experience with its clever Six axis controller and the Nanchunk extender.

And more over, they didn’t go for high performance hardware, but opted for a decent able-to-do hardware. The result ? Wii has become the family entertainer. It is affordable due to its able-to-do hardware, and it is fun due to its revolutionary controller. And to make you feel more comfortable, Wii is backward compatible with older Nintendo games. So you will never miss your old favorites. Nintendo opted for the Less is More and I believe Nintendo will win the majority market share soon.

Does LIME suits CRM?
Well, that’s a difficult question to answer. CRM in itself is a suite of complex inter-linked modules such as lead management, contacts, inventory, ticketing, campaigns etc. And the CRM requirement varies from organization to organization.

LIME will suit only if a particular module is made as a product or in other words.. a product that addresses specific requirements.
