I have been thinking of doing away with the .bin installer.
The installer no doubt works but since we compile on the platform, it fails if the dependencies are not made available on the platform. This leads to n number of forum posts and heart-burns for all.
Recently there was talk of using the xampp setup for installing vtiger. I am looking at various other options for the linux systems.
Any good ideas, please post.
Let us make a call on the .bin once and for all so that we can redirect our resources towards other areas.
