A temporary guide for creating a vtiger new theme is coming up. In a week or so, it will be available. We are in the process of optimizing the style sheets and other design elements for 5.0.1. Once the UI elements are standardized we will publish a proper guide for creating a new theme. Untill then, the temporary guide will help.
