We will be having a week of testing on the frozen codebase. This is to ensure that all that we have fixed does not break anything. The race against time is always very very enticing to the developers and that makes life difficult for the testers.

So we will need your help. The code will be frozen by max tomorrow morning. Either way, you can start checking out the code and start testing. There is not much that is going to change in the meantime. You can always look at the timeline for details anyway.

As I have always maintained, we can control the present so please ensure that you do have a go at the code base wrt your deployment expectations (yes, i know it is a very odd way of putting it but it just came naturally so I will let it stick). It is imperative that you test it so that you very well know what kind of a beast you are getting.

I personally expect that 5.0.3 should be very very stable and enterprise-grade quality. I hope that feeling is validated by the tests.

The trac from now on will be very tightly monitored. Brian and Balduin are doing an excellent job in the forum stopping most of the issues in the tracks and only leaving out the proper bugs to be tracked. Still as we grow further, it will be a challenge to maintain sanity.

Once the 5.0.3 goes out, we will have a full scale invasion on the trac with lots of requests (not necessarily all being for bugs). So we have to be very prudent in handling those entries.

I look forward to your help.

Note: Kindly be merciless in the testing.
