We did the bug allocation for the 5.0.3 release. We realized that the 5.0.2 was too hard-pressed for time as there were many freshers who had to be taught too in the process of the release.

This is something that I need to work on as the team is getting into a pressure-cooker situation. This will only lead to burn outs.

Hence I feel the delay is justified for the 5.0.3 release. Better to take sometime out to let-off the steam and then  get back to work.

There will be a works-in-progress demo which will showcase the latest developments including the latest code-contributions.

The number of bugs in 5.0.3 is around 200 and that further necessitates that we have the 5.0.4 planned. It is all the more important that we do not keep the market waiting so we will make two releases to that effect – the 5.0.3 and the 5.0.4.

We are working on some performance changes as well. We expect a huge increase in response time.  I would expect that to be made available by the 5.0.3 release.

We are also working on the release calendar format. This is in the works and will take sometime to come out.

Would there be anything else that you guys would like to know about or suggest that we add to make ourselves more open?
