I eat at a restaurant called :- Le Relais Du Nord. The owner’s name is Maria. She is a nice lady. She runs the place very well and there is absolutely no time delay in serving the food. Virginie is the name of the person who serves me food. She is very understanding and hardworking. She seems to be a family member away from home.
This place is opposite the Hippopotamus and McDonald’s.The place is damn good and has free Wifi too. The service is good and the folks too are good and understanding. They give personal attention to the customer and strive to understand their needs even if the language is different. It is a pleasure being here.
On the other hand, there is my hotel- let us call it Hotel de XYZ . The owner himself sees cable tv and in the rooms, we have just 6 channels. The owner himself browses the net but we have no net connection. Moreover, we have to shell out pretty hefty amount for the stay in a very small room. I think the room is max 8 ft in length and 4 ft in breadth. I had to stay here so that I could easily travel to all the corners of France. This place is near to the Gare du Nord. The other day, I asked the owner of the hotel as to how long do you think it is safe to be outside. The guy just blew up and answered that his hotel is safe while I had asked him a different question altogether. It does feel lonely in the hotel man. You got to believe that.
Well, I am leaving this hotel tomorrow morning and hope to get a better hotel near the Charles de Gaulle airport. Got any good experiences in the hotels nearby then let me know.
