vtiger is getting into deployment areas now. Not that it had not earlier, just that with vtigercrm5, I get to hear that the scale of deployment has gone quite high.

This leads to quality and scalability issues. If we have quick release cycles, the internal team gets too pressurised and mistakes are made. The community too is put to discomfort as they have yet another release to reckon with.

Henceforth, vtiger releases will happen with ample gap between them. The length of time will vary with respect  to the number of bugs fixed and quality tests run. The minimum length of time I would say will be  2.5 months or so. This gives the users adequate time to use the product and report issues. It also gives us adequate time to fix and test the product and the build. We have already finalized the calendar mode where we will update the likely date of the next release.
So, from now on, the releases will undergo rigorous testing as did the 5.0.0 and then be made public.
