With vtiger5, lots of businesses will have gone live. Lots of Doubting Thomases will have made up their mind (either way), lots of people’s opinions would have changed(either way), ….

A new beginning if you really ask me. From now on, every patch has to be upto a certain expectation. We are trying to put in place a format so that we do not go haywire with the release management part as always. JeffK will be just waiting to hit me on the head and so will Dhr. Reinhardt! I am really mortified by these 2 folks at least!

We are working on making the current structure more flexible and extensible so that other products can relate to the product and bridging is easier. As of now the same can be done with great, great effort. This is an area of rapid improvement and I am working on it.

Most of the vtiger tasks will now be delegated so that we can work together. In fact, most of the tasks have alreadby been delegated. Once the code is made more simpler, I expect a lot more developments to happen. To encourage all code contributions, we are putting more stress in the current list of contributions and are working to make them part of Patch1 or 5.0.1.

I will be posting frequently on opening up the community further. Honestly, I think I have worked on all the feedbacks given yet. In case anyone has different ideas, kindly let me know.
