We are in the final few hours before release.\u00a0 The team has not slept for quite some time now. The last 2 weeks have been mostly coffee-driven. Time I had a decent bath too.\u00a0 We are working on making the site,forum and blogs sync.<\/p>\n
The Plugins have been made ready, the documentation is in progress, the Release Notes are ready, I have already had 3\u00a0 cups of coffee since morning, no one has slept in the team yesterday night, all have come-in with red-eyes and high-expectations, the tension is palpable, the only sound I hear is the mouse-clicks of Minnie testing next to me and Ahmed behind me, Mickie has come in now and is working on the migration script and he is also nervous, there have been heated debates on that aspect whenever there has been a screw-up, yesterday night – we went for\u00a0 dinner and the mood was mostly sombre as no one could eat much, the same with the day-before-yesterday’s lunch, all these little things matter a lot for me as tension and pressure does strange things to the best of people, i have been living this for the last 6 years or so and i think i understand a little at least, there was a 5-minute meeting in the morning to ensure that all is in sync, no major outcries till now, gopal has not shaved for sometime as he is handling a humongous amount of tasks, the weather is perfect for a release today, i have already been asked 4 times as to when the release is going to be, time to get another coffee …..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
