Post vtigercrm-5.0.0, I feel vtiger is really going to explode. There is lot of traction for the release even now in the Beta and RC stage and I am sure, it will only increase further once the GA is out.
\nThe German and French communities are already reporting high traffic. I will be visiting Europe to talk to the users and companies using vtiger. This visit will give further credibility to vtiger and the users of vtiger.
\nvtiger will reach a stage similar to what had happened when 4.2.4 was to be released. There was so much traffic that one could hardly hear anything in the din.\u00a0 It was like a nuclear reaction spiralling out of control.<\/p>\n
Earlier, the UI was poor and there were certain inconsistencies in the product. With the current GA release, I am sure we have ironed out most of the inhibiting factors. I envisage several small to medium companies starting to use vtiger now once these roadblocks are taken away.<\/p>\n
There will be an ecosystem creation around vtiger which will be interesting to see – the integrators, the troubleshooters, the service engineers, the VoIP engineers, the CMS engineers, the Plugin-creators, …..<\/p>\n
vtiger might also be customized toward multiple verticals like Lead Mgmt, Contact Mgmt, Real Estate, etc. The Plugins too can be customized toward those ends.<\/p>\n
This ecosystem too needs to be carefully observed as it will throw open huge vistas for growth. I do not expect any mammoths to come over but I do expect a million small animals to come over. A new forest, new rules, ……
\nvtiger will have its own say (in a way) after the GA.<\/p>\n
