We are pleased to announce the official release of the Open Source edition of vtiger CRM 5.4.0 as a part of out commitment to making the best CRM tools and innovations open, affordable, and accessible to all organizations. The\u00a0release of vtiger CRM 5.4.0 brings with it numerous significant changes, from new features and usability\u00a0enhancements to fixes for hundreds of bugs reported by our active community of thousands of users.<\/p>\n

The following\u00a0are the key highlights of the release:<\/p>\n

Usability Enhancements in 5.4.0<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong>1. Simpler Top level menus that can be configured using the new Menu Editor
\n2. Simpler UI for creating custom filters
\n3. Convert Lead UI has been redesigned to be more flexible
\n4. Import Feature enhanced to reduce failures
\n5. Ability to select records across pages for Mass Edits or Bulk Emails
\n6. Account module has been renamed to Organizations and Potentials module to Opportunities
\n7. Easy access to hidden default widgets on home page.<\/p>\n

Following are some notable features in 5.4.0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Workflow module allows automatic creation of records
\n2.\u00a0Track who changed what with ‘View History’ for each record in the CRM
\n3.\u00a0Webforms module enables easy integration of web-to-lead capture forms on any website

\n5.\u00a0Customer Portal has been made more customizable
\n6.\u00a0vcard Import for Contacts and Leads
